J combat crew born in 2011 in Stone Town Zanzibar, we’ve grown into a collective of passionate artists, each bringing unique energy and creativity to the group and we inspire others through the art of dance. As J combat crew our strength comes from the diversity of our dancers. Each member brings their own unique background, style, and energy, creating a powerful fusion of talent and creativity from like Breakdance, Afrobeat dance, Hip hop, Popping and Afro acrobatic. We’re excited for what’s next, ready to take our love for dance to new heights, and to keep inspiring others with our passion, unity, and creativity. Since our formation in 2011, J Combat Crew has consistently pushed the boundaries of dance, and our dedication has been recognized through numerous awards and accolades. Each achievement is a testament to the passion, creativity, and hard work we put into every performance. Some of our most notable awards include: 1.Best Dance Crew, Zanzibar Dance Festival (2017) – Celebrated for our dynamic fusion of Afrobeat, breakdance, and acrobatics, we were honored as the top dance crew at this prestigious event. 2.Champion, East African Hip Hop Dance Competition (2016) – Our high-energy routines and innovative choreography earned us first place, showcasing our ability to compete on an international stage. 3.People’s Choice Award, Zanzibar Arts Festival (2018) – This award meant the world to us, as it reflected the love and support from our community, recognizing our performances for their authenticity and cultural impact.
